1909 Wide Base Whisperer Rolls Royce display mascot
A rare wide base whisperer Display Mascot. We very occsionally get these in as opposed to the much more common small base whisperer mascots.
This one comes with a threaded stud underneath for mounting. The wood base it is pictured on does not come with it as we borrowed it from one of our other mascots for the photographs.
Hard to find & a must for a serious Rolls Royce owner. The original narrow base Whisperer resided on Lord Montagues Silver Ghost at Beaulieu. It is believed that he had a series of wide based examples made which were given away as gifts to friends & acquaintances.
The sculpture is signed Charles Sykes & has excellent detail to the toes & face etc.
