15th International Concours d’Elegance – Classic-Gala Schwetzingen 2019

Our Richard Biddulph & Michael Kliebenstein were in attendance this weekend at our 4th consecutive Concours d’Elegance at the Classic-Gala in Schwetzingen, Germany. Vintage & Prestige are proud to be partners for the event that hosts an international selection of exceptional classic cars from 1890 to 1990.

 They visited last year during the museum expansion.

 There is arguably the finest collection of Czech cars in the world, and a beautiful selection of British motorbike ands cars.

Christoff and Jan took part in the Bugatti GP in Zlin again this year.

Over 40 historic cars turned out for the street race which turns into a night rally circuit.

 They were lucky enough to be entrusted with the use of a Bugatti Type 37 from the Samohyl collection.

This years Concours Of Elegance at Hampton Court Palace did not disappoint, for three summer days we enjoyed the company of some of the most important pre-war,vintage,classic and super cars in the world.

Best in show went to the superb and beautiful 1929 Mercedes-Benz S Barker Tourer.

The Bugatti GP is one of the annual highlights in Zlin, over 30 cars compete each year. The roads are closed and the race takes place through the streets… and even across a railway track.

Schwetzingen Classic Gala 2018

This year we will be attending the 2018 Schwetzingen with five vintage and classic cars from 31st to 2nd of September.

We are proud to announce the 1913 Rolls-Royce 40/50hp Silver Ghost, 1926 Bentley 5.3 Litre and the 1956 Bentley Continental S1 Park Ward will be three of the five cars being displayed at the Concours.

Set in the glorious Stonor Park, this years Bentley Drivers Club Concours And Summer Rally was marvellous. We displayed our 1927 Bentley 3.0 Litre Speed Model By Vanden Plas and 1929 Bentley 4.5 Litre H.J. Mulliner Saloon. With elegancet music and delicious food, the whole day felt very British!

Aston Martin GT8 A Modern Collectors Item

Last weekend we met up with a freind of ours, to see him pick up his 2016 Aston Martin GT8 which had 25 miles on the clock,

My old friend Donald was desirous of having his 20hp back at his place in the Dordogne to use for this coming 2014 season.  Accordingly he suggested we give his car a thorough service & drive it back to him by way of a holiday.  Thus last month I loaded the car to the gunnels with wife, two urchins & clothes for a week & off we set.

Last year a chap called from Australia touting a 6hp DeDion Bouton that he had found in a barn.  Apparently the car was shipped down under in 1903, hit a stump in about 1910 & was unceremoniously shunted into a barn where it lay undisturbed until recently.  The Australian vendor had got it running (barely as it turned out) & restored its cosmetics beautifully to

I recently bought a delightful Rolls Royce 20hp Barker all weather cabriolet in Dumfries Scotland.  Having parted with my hard earned cash I loaded it upon a trailer & made a slow progress back south to base.  This to me is the best of body configurations allowing for full closed, half open or fully open motoring.
