Rolls-Royce 20HP open drive limousine by Barker.

This superb "Ghost like" example is believed to be the last surviving example of a Barker open drive limousine 20HP, That is still carrying its original body.
Originally supplied new to Sir Neville Pearson in May 1923 making this 20HP one the oldest surviving examples.
Finished in black over yellow coachwork, with black leather, that has a lovely patinated appearance, but all in superb condition inside and out.
Its sweet 3127cc straight six pulls well, and is super smooth operating through a correct 3 speed manual gearbox, where its action is precise, and has a good feel to it, this 20HP has a feeling of strength, giving a good sense of excellent mechanical integrity, this 20HP is superb to drive.
The substantial chassis has rigid front and rear axles suspended by semi elliptic leaf springs that also have leather "Wefco" gaiters fitted, as "four wheel brakes" didnt appear until 1925, this earlier car has rear brakes only. The famous Rolls-Royce radiator is slatless, giving this superb example the look of a "Baby Ghost."
The excellent and superb condition of the Barker body retains all its original features as well as the makers "step plates"
Interestingly this 20HP has an excellent history file coupled with a huge plethoria of ownership documentation, History and Factory build records, make for a very interesting read.
Also worth noting, is that This 20HP has made many TV appearances. Featuring in Agatha Cristie's "Mousetrap" and Worzel Gummage TV shows.
This Original, handsome, patinated, and overall superb condition 20HP carries itself beautifully, and would therefore be a useable addition to any collection for the discerning enthusiast.
