1938 BMW 328 Roadster

Chassis number 85316

Registration number: TBA

Part of a small collection of rare BMW cars:  This 328 was found as a wreck in the late 1960's with the then Czechslovakian title documents going back to 4th November 1970 when it was registered in Bratislava.  The registration lists a succession of owners through the communist era right up to the present day along with assorted official stamps.  More interestingly the car comes with a set of photographs as found showing the original factory body work in situ prior to restoration along with the seats & seat frames etc.

The car has been beautifully restored under the current ownership in metallic silver with a burgundy hide interior both of which are in perfect order.  A later twin carb head is fitted on the original engine block.  Since restoration was completed the car has sat virtually unused in the collection of the current owner in the czech republic where it may be viewed today by prior appointemnt.

Also in the collection are a BMW 327 Cabriolet liberated by a US serviceman after the war, a BMW 501 Coupe & a BMW 501 Carbiolet, both of the latter with V8 engine.
