A rich & extensive history of this car is found towards the end of the photographic gallery. Suffice to say it was driven in period by Fangio, Campos & Gonzales at a plethora of events with a number of first place finishes to its credit from 1949 onwards. The history from new is continually known giving it excellent provenance.
The car in recent years has been well known on the historic race circuits of Europe.
The Maserati has its original magnesium based engine number 1597 that comes with the car. Currently fitted is one of the new engines in perfect condition & absolutely ready to race. A second new engine is also available for the car at a cost of £105,000 & also includes a new gear box. It is dyno tested at 260hp.
This car is an instant ticket to enter the historic racing scene. The car has appeared at Numerous events in recent years under the last owners tenure including the historic GP at Pau, Goodwood, Silverstone, Jerez, Nurburgring & Imola to name but a few.
