1991 Rolls-Royce Corniche III
Chassis Number: ZDM30458
Registration Number: HIL 8888 (available by separate negotiation)
A really lovely example of the Rolls-Royce Corniche III, owned by its current owner for the past 21 years. During this time it has been used sparingly and has now covered a warranted 52,000 miles from new, forming part of a small private collection. It has blue lambswool over rugs, front and rear and has a factory fitted Alpine sat nav and a speed camera detector.
Servicing throughout the current ownership has been undertaken regularly by Herne Motors, the owner's local Rolls-Royce specialist. Prior to this, the service book contains a further 17 service stamps, demonstrating a long history of careful ownership and maintenance.
The car has always been garaged and has not been used in wet conditions. Consequently, it remains a remarkably corrosion-free example and is presented in superb condition throughout.
As a Series III model, the Corniche benefits from fuel injection, which was thoroughly inspected and the car has recently had the complete fuel injection system renewed as a result of fuel deterioration through lack of use during Covid and is now running beautifully. The engine bay is exceptionally tidy, with no visible corrosion or deterioration to areas such as the turret bolt heads.
It has also had the complete heating and air con system overhauled. It has just had a new radiator header tank fitted due to a leak and has a brand new battery.
It has a current MOT. This work and the general servicing and maintenance of the car has been carried out by Herne Motors of Canterbury who are Rolls and Bentley specialists.
The exterior is finished in an unmarked mid-metallic blue, complemented by a beautiful light mushroom leather interior piped in dark blue, with matching blue carpets. The woodwork is in excellent condition and features beautifully figured walnut with satinwood edge banding.
The electrically operated hood raises and lowers at the touch of a button. It would benefit from a deep clean, however, as it has spent much of its time in the lowered position. The original heavy leather hood bag is also supplied with the car.
Everything works as it should, and the overall condition of this Corniche is a real credit to its long-term owner. With its low warranted mileage, extensive service history, long-term ownership and exceptional presentation, this is a particularly appealing example of the Series III Corniche.
The car is reluctantly offered for sale since the drivers age means that it is no longer getting the use it deserves. If required, the cherished number is available by negotiation.
Viewings are near Canterbury, Kent, by prior appointment.
