Imported to the Uk a decade or so ago as a freshly restored mint car; since then the car has been sparingly but regularly used & is in really really fine condition.
The rebuilt 6.3 Litre straight eight engine is a pargon of smoothness & is silent in operation. This allied to an easy to use 4 speed gear box makes the car a pleasure to drive. The bills with the car are exhaustive & detail the numerous small jobs undertaken to get the car right. It is now in superb order as the previous owner at some 90 years of age had used the car little & preferred looking at it to actually driing it. The currnet owner went into this with his eyes open knowing there would be some expenditure required to get the car ready for extended use.
The Maroon paint is in lovely condition & polishes up to a deep lustreous shine. To the interior is traditional grey cloth with acres of room for both front & rear passengers. These cars were superbly built with the factory's sales slogan being: "Ask the man who owns one!" All interior woodwork has been removed & refinished.
Under the current enthusiast ownership some £15k has been spent to put the car in tip top order. This includes 4 new tyres from Longstone & also assored gaskets including a new copper head gasket. King pins, brakes & carburettor have also been attended to. You have to drive one of these wonderful cars to appreciate how good they are & how well they compare for example to a derby Bentley of similar period. The feeling is one of being in a post war car not a pre war example. Do please read the bills in the photo gallery to fully understand how much has been done to the car.
