Stunning condition and the best one of these we have seen.  This car had a full restoration including a massive engine rebuild by Marque Speciailst Alan Brooke some years ago.  At the time the Odometer was set to zero & now reads just 8,000 miles covered since.  Upon purchase by the current owner the car went back to Mr Brooke where a further £4,200 pounds was spent to tune the car, attend to assorted little jobs & put it into tip top order. The car was purchased from noted experts Historic Competition Services in Antwerp Belgium for Euors 275,000 after an exhaustive search to locate simply the best example available.

The car is resplendent in deep black paintwork & also black leather to the seating surfaces along with black carpets & a black hood with hood bag & full length  tonneau cover.

Under the bonnet of  the car engine bay is well detailed with everything where it ought to be in its appointed place.  The engine starts easily, makes all the right noises & gives the car a real turn of speed.  In period these cars set the benchmark  for performance in their class & with the uprated engine it pulls far harder then one might otherwise expect.

The beauty of these pre war Aston Martin car is the tactile feel of the driving experience.  The car is very very light with precise steeing & taut yet supple suspension allowing one to hustle the car though roundabouts & tight corners, missing the kerbs by inches in a manner that would see a vintage Bentley by comparison swiftly disappearing backwards through a hedge.  Indeed the current onwer was a previous owner of an original bodied 3 Litre Bentley & compares the two as being like chalk & cheese in their differences.  This is a centre throttle car as when new & the gear box is in a conventional H pattern, but is in the reverse order of a modern 'box but is very easily mastered.

This Aston Martin was awarded the Sutherland Memorial  Trophy in 2019; a testament to its excellence.  It is ready and available for immediate viewings by appointment.  The car comes with both UK & Dutch papers meaniing there are no taxes to pay should it go to a new home in  Europe.  It is a car that wants for nothing  is ready for immediate use in rallys, competitions or simply for fast road touring.
