1904 Dedion Bouton Type Y 6hp
Chassis Number: 135
RegistrationNumber: BS8759
Coming to us from previous South African ownership with paperwork dating back as far as 1946.
This little Dedion is of the Y type which finished production in 1904. It has run the last two London to Brighton events on a temporary passport & is in the process of being officially dated but being of the Y type it is for sure of no later then 1904 origin. The engine number is 16824 with a number of VCC dated Dedions of 1904 origin with higher engine numbers such as 17881.
The car fires up & runs well. It has currenlty having a full sevice & tune up at a specialist.
This is a great entry level London to Brighton contender with 3 forward speeds & starts easily on the starting handle. Driving it is easily mastered & it pops along very well indeed.
The Dedion comes also with South African papers but is UK road registered & UK import taxes paid. Paintwork is good in a jaunty shade of green along with yellow wheels. Currently a two seater it would not be difficult to add a rear tonneau seating area to make it a 4 seater.
