1955 SILVER WRAITH HOOPER EMPRESS
Chassis Number: DLW161
Registration Number: 705XVH
Ordered new by one Oonah Guiness in 1955 in Ireland of the Eponymous drinks fame. This car was scarcely used & has covered a mere 21,448 miles from new. To drive it is an extraordinary experience with smooth silent gear changes & the best steering on any Silver Wraith I have ever driven. The family owned the car until just a few years ago when they relinquished custody of the car.
Coachwork is from the King of coachbuilders Hooper & Co & was fabricated to their famed Empress design. This offers very spacious interior accomodations & also has a huge boot with the factory supplied tools pleasingly in situ.
The car has always been garaged from new so underneath it is in superb order. The interior is orginal st James red leather along with untouched original woodwork. The car is fitted with a power glass division. A repaint was done on the car a few years ago in its original colours as the first paint had become quite faded.
Assorted papers come with the car relating to its first owner & there are some pictures of the car standing outside the family seat in Ireland.
This is a rare chance to acquire a very very low mile Silver Wraith which drives like new & is in superb all around original condition.
