The 100th RHD FHC Coupe ever made; This car was ordered new by one Gerald Barton of the Humber Oil company that later became Humbrol paints.
In 2021 the car was the subject of a nut & bolt restoration to as new condition. Some £102,000 in restoration recepits come with the car plus the origibnal £100k cost of the unrestored car. A massive set of bills & photographs come with the car attesting to the painstaking works perfomed upon it to bring it up to the condition we find it in today.
SPECIFICATION INCLUDES:- UK-SUPPLIED, RIGHT HAND DRIVE “FLAT FLOOR” FIXED HEAD COUPE WITH CHROME 72-SPOKE WIRE WHEELS AND WOOD-RIMMED STEERING WHEEL, WHICH HAS BEEN FULLY RESTORED TO AN EXCELLENT STANDARD. USEFUL UPGRADES INCLUDE UPRATED COOPERCRAFT ALLOY BRAKES, AVO ADJUSTABLE SHOCK ABSORBERS, HIGH TORQUE STARTER MOTOR, KENLOW TWIN SPEED COOLING FAN, SOUNDPROOFING AND ALUMINIUM RADIATOR, STAINLESS STEEL TWIN EXHAUST SYSTEM, STEREO WITH BLUETOOTH CONNECTIVITY.
The car is finished in its original colour of Opalescent silver blue & retains its original engine & moss gear box along with a dark blue interior. On the day of our visit to Devon it was raining hard so we will return inn better weather to conduct a full photo shoot to our usual standards. This home market RHD E-Type has complete matching numbers and is presented in the orginal livery combination, and completely corresponds to the Jaguar Heritage Trust trace certificate, No. 69811.
Perfection needs but few words & this early production E Type is indeed perfect. It looks, feels & drives like the day it laft Browns lane. Not much more need be said.
