1930 Rolls Royce Phantom 2 Sports Saloon by Thrupp & Maberly.
Chassis number: 3GN
Registration Number: BF5008
A wonderful 1930 Rolls Royce Phantom 2. The Rolls Royce was supplied new to New Zealand. The body is its second body, by Thrupp & Maberly moved across from another car when the first body had deteriorated. The body takes the form of a rakish yet spacious sports saloon, resplendent in pillar box red with an aluminium bonnet. To the interior is good oxblood leather.
The Phantom runs stongly & we drove it back to the UK from near Belfast. Being overdrive equipped it is very relaxed at speed & simply a pleasure to drive. It has been in long term ownership, with supplying dealer P & A Wood showing as the previous owners on the V5 log book. It runs cool with good oil pressure & has a real go anywhere feel to it.
Unusually it is equipped with a tow hook & usd to tow a period Guildford caravan which has been sold separately.
