1970 Rolls Royce Corniche Convertible (silver shadow convertible).

Vin Number:  DRH10510

Registration Number:  ODH128J

Purchased new in 1970 by renowned musician: George Mitchell of the Black & white Minstrels fame.  The car has just turned 100,000 miles with the odometer reading 840 miles at time of photography. The car was ordered in the striking special order colour of Nottingham firemist green, along with a white mohair roof.  The convertible roof has recently been replaced with a new dark green item which suits the car beautifully & glides up & down at the touch of a button.

The original interior as when new is cream hide piped in dark green along with green carpets.  The seats have some age related patination but are very serviceable as they are.  The interior woodwork is of burr walnut cross banded with satinwood & is also in lovely condition.

The car comes with a good assortment of bills (far too many to photograph) & also early service stamps from Lex Mead of Maidenhead.   Recent services & maintenance has been done by Silver Lady of Brentwood.  A full new exhaust  system was installed by them in 2021.

To prepare the car for sale assorted works are being done to the car including a new hood-bag as the old had become too worn, a fix, a new boot carpet, repair to one of the drivers seat motors that is non operational, a new drivers door window motor & a full checkover.  We expect these items to take a couple of weeks as the car has to go both to the service agent & the trim shop to get the jobs done.  A brand new battery has also just been installed.

This is a car that shows pride of ownership & an open cheque book approach to maintenance.  It has always been garaged so is in very very good solid order though out without the corrosion issues one finds on so many of these.  This extends to the under bonnet area with no corrosion or furring to the suspension turret bolts etc.  The original drivers manual & service book also come with the car.

It has been a number of years in the current ownership & is now to be reluctantly sold due to the poor health issues of the current custodian.  It is a strikingly pretty car with a real wow factor to it.
