1921 Sunbeam 4.5 Litre Tourer

Registration Number: SV9260

Chassis number:  TBA

A magnificent Open tourer by Sunbeam under long term ownership by a noted sunbeam enthusiast & afficionado.  Indeed the car shares garage space with two straight eight engined sunbeams.

During the current tenure extensive works have been undertaken.  The engine has been rebuilt with new pistons & thus runs beautifully & in silence.  The gear box has been completely disassebled & a new set of gears cut & hardened to replace the old which were showing signs of wear leading to the car jumping out of gear.  The car is thus in really fine mechanical fettle.  Indeed the current owner thought nothing of driving it up to Brooklands recently  from the far side of Dorset to attend a Sunbeam event prior to driving back home after.  Such is the reliability & long Legged gait of the car.

Paintwork is maroon over black & very tidy.  To the interior is new buttoned leather to the front & rear again in maroon along with matching carpets.  Under the bonnet the car is equally tidy with large expanses of copper & brass pipe work evident along with the correct carburettor.

The car sits on four cast artillery style wheels shod with recent tyres.  A fith side mounted spare is also in situ on the running board.  The door jambs have original sunbeam coach plates attesting to it being an original body as it left the factory.

All in all a wonderful car & a great alternative & far more refined then an equvalent 4.5 litre Bentley & very competitively priced.
