1926 Sunbeam Super Sports 20/60 3 litre Twin Cam Tourer.

Chassis number: 4163GF

Registration Number: YM4066

A rare survivor out of the 300 or so built between 1926 & 1930.

The car was totally rebuilt in the 70's with a strengthened 10ft 10" chassis. It sports its original 4 seater touring body rebuilt with new ash frame up to scuttle which is
covered in original aluminium panels.

The previous to current owner had the car since 1990 when he installed a new engine block with new con rods and pistons.  Since then a full service history is available of which most work has been undertaken by Holcombe Engineering (Mike Collis) who can provide an independent service history of the car.  In the last few years it has been fitted with a new radiator core and a new high ratio crown wheel a pinion making it very long legged.

The current octogenarian owner has now decided to part ways with the car due to his advancing years.  He fitted 4 new tyres & had significant mechanical works done to the car for which bills are on file, the goal being to put it in tip top condition for touring.  JC Engineering of Lincolnshire were entrusted with the works which to say the least are thorough & extensive.

The car is finished in good blue paintwork with black wings.  To the interior is maroon leather in very good order along with a pair of maroon lether cushions for use by rear passengers.  The leather is in excellnt condition with just the right amount of patina to it.

Twin spare wheels are mounted to the rear of the car & a good quality hood easily erects for inclement weather.  An original Sunbeam owners manual also comes with the car as does the original block & cam shafts etc.

The engine bay is a joy to behold with the spectacular twin cam taking pride of place.  Several bulk head mounted plaques attest to the car having been driven Deauville to Paris on multiple occasions where it has also been a prize winner.  The engine starts easily & is running beautifully with fuel fed from the rebuilt autovac fuel delivery system.
