Fender & Broad gave the following description follonwg their work on the car:

This example of the XK150 fixed head rolled from the production line in November 1958. The car was first registered to a Mr Brian Cox on the 13th of January 1959. From that day to this Mr Cox & latterly his son have been the sole owners of this stunning car until acquired by the current onwer in 2011 for his collection . Mr Cox completed a final exhaustive restoration of RRX800 some 16 years ago. During this restoration the leder Mr Cox fell ill and never had the pleasure of driving his newly restored car.

Fender and Broad purchased RRX800 as a matching numbers one owner car from the son of Mr Cox and proceeded to detail the car and upgrade her for regular reliable road use and touring. The bodywork finish on this car is simply superb. The gapping and general finish to the panels is exemplorary and the car presents equally perfectly in the engine bay, boot and underside of the car. The Indigo Blue paintwork contrasted by red interior trim really sets the car off perfectly. In respect of the body, trim and general appearance this car is one of the best we have ever seen.

Sitting on correct 16" chrome wire wheels shod with Michelin X tyres the car is very difficult to fault. mechanically the car has been equally well restored, with a fresh engine rebuild involving all new components as necessary. The engine has been serviced, tuned and uprated by Guy Broad fitting electronic ignition, uprated radiator and overflow header tank. The can has been run in by Fender and Broad giving 500 miles of reliable driving with a few snags resolved making the car 'on the button' and very responsive and yet smooth. When one pushes I the throttle to the floor this cat leaps into life and really accelerates with gusto. The oil pressure gauge sits at 60Ib from cold and remains there when fully hot.

This 500mile engine is in very good condition and showing no signs of requiring any attention for the new owner The remainder of the power train consists of an uprated 5 speed Guy Broad gearbox mated to a balanced new propshaft feeding a rebuilt rear axle. Power delivery is as smooth as you would expect from a car this well sorted. Braking has been uprated by the fitment of 4 pot front brake callipers. These give confidence to the driver and bring the car to a halt in good order.

Inside of the cabin is a treasure. A mixture of Connolly hide and original rexine trim give the feeling that this was exactly as the car would have been when pulling away from the production line for the first time 54 years ago. A period radio is fitted and modified to accept an MP3 player though you would have to look for the fitment to find it. Such is the attention to originality in the cabin. In conclusion RRX800 is about as good as it gets in respect of the XK market. We simply couldn't build a car for this price and as such this fixed head car one owner car represents a unique opportunity for its future owner.
