Produced at vast expemse & in brand new condition; This Petersen blower has covered a scant 1500 running in miles from new. You really have to see & experience one of these amazing cars to fully appreciate the engineering & work that goes in to creating such a thing. It is extremely fast & makes all the right noises whilst being a paragon of smooth refined power.
The R type engine is disassembled, blue printed & remanufactured to as new with a custom Amherst Villiers style super charger grafted onto the front end. This set up produces well in excess of 235 HP making for an extremely rapid machine when driven in anger. Dual circiut brakes are fitted which are light & effecatious in operation well able to pull the car up sharply from very high speeds.
The Gear box is standard R type fare with synchromesh making for easy changes. The chassis & drive train has been extensively modified with additional bracking & cross members.
To the dash board is a full quotient of Le Mans style instrumentation along with a machine turned dash board & rope wrapped steering wheel. Leather bucket seats easily adjustable on runners are installed along with green carpets. A full mohair hood unfurls to cover the occupants should the heavens open. The wind screen is a fold down affair with the wind deflectors also serving as areo screens when in the down position for a genuine bugs in the teeth motoring experince.
The current owner has medical issues which mean he is no longer able to get in & out of the car & thus his pride & joy which was several years in the making is on the market allowing a buyer instant gratification & to skip the wait in ordering & having one made.
