1930 Chrysler Special Roadster

Chassis number: 164100

Registration number: H3988BBB (Spanish.)

A beautifully crafted roadster based upon a 1930 Chrysler chassis.  The body is artwork, made from polished aluminium with louvres, vents & bulges in all the right places, tapering off to an elegant boat tail at the rear.  Red painted cycle style mudguards keep the ensemble legal whilst matching the 6 stud wire wheels.

The car has a freshly rebuilt 3.0 litre 6 cylinder tried, tested & bullet proof Continental engine in it allied to a 4-speed gearbox.  It breathes through twin carbs & gives startling performance given the light weight of the car.  The continental 6 cylinder was a widely used engine by a number of manufacturers & as a result has abundant spare parts available.  The exhaust exits rakishly down the side of the car & has the necessary heat shields in place to protect the passengers elbow.

Seats are trimmed in tan leather & are comfortable for two consenting adults.  The dash is of turned aluminium with full instrumentation & a pair of dash mounted trip stop watches for competition use.  A side mounted spare is fitted to the driver side; this being a left-hand drive vehicle.

The car is well sorted, drives & goes superbly & is beautifully constructed.  It is ready for use immediately in hill climbs & historic races.  The car is in Alicante Spain & may be viewed there by prior appointment.  We have seen it & driven it & can attest to its fine quality.
