1954 Rolls Royce Silver Dawn Automatic
Chassis number: SPG59
Registration Number: RRD22 (Available by Negotiation.)
Under long term enthusiast ownership since 1987; the mileage when purchased was 112,017 & has now risen to just 135,696 miles backed up by a comprehensive set of MOT certificates. Regrettably for sale now due to the decliing health of the current onwer.
This Dawn is in simply lovely condition. Under the bonnet the fully rebuilt engine presents like new. Over £40,000 was just spent upon the engine rebuild to put it in perfect order. A new crank damper has also just been fitted & is running in along with the engine. The car had a very high quality respray in metallic silver with the paint presnting in as new condition. Absolute fortunes have been spent upon this car without regard to cost.
To the interior is original grey/blue leather in lightly patinated but very serviceabe order. All woodwork is likewise original & as it left the factory & extends to occasional picnic tables for the rear passengers. Headlining is also original. Royal blue carpets are found under foot. The car has been serviced regularly by assorted speciaists such as Goudhurst Service Station, P & A Wood & marque specialist Daniel Moore. Indeed a service was done in March so no service is due until 2024.
The original handbook comes with the car as does a full set of tools under the drivers seat, & also to the rear boot space. Likewise the Rolls Royce supplied flash light is in its appointed place under the bonnet.
To sum up, this is a car in perfect running condition coming from almost 4 decades of continuous ownership. It is one of the best I have seen short of a fully restored one & is simply a delight to drive.
