Vintage&Prestige are proud to offer this stunning example of BMW e30 M3 racing conversion.
This BMW e30 started its life as a BMW 318i 3 door but just after clocking 100k miles, the owner took the decision of making something special out of it.
The BMW 318i was fully stripped to bare metal, rust repaired and proofed and finished in mesmerising Yaz marina Blue, a modern colour offered on modern BMWs.
Decisions were made to make this BMW extreme and as in your face as it can possibly get. Mounted at the front there is the BMW S54 engine from a BMW M3 with only 78,000 miles. The engine was stripped and fully rebuilt and it has now just covering its shakedown miles. The power is transferred to the massive 265/65 Toyo R888 tyres at the back through the S54 6 speed transmission passing trough a limited slip differential (LSD) and, inside the cabin a racing short shifter has been installed to make gear changes incredibly quick and precise.
At the moment the power output is 342bhp (on 1100kg), there is to note the fact that on the last dyno run this BMW was not pushed to its limit as the engine was still being run in, so power figures may be a bit higher then what was measured at the moment.
Roll cage, flocked dash, 4 point harnesses, short shifter, ECU Master Digital Dash, aluminum sun visor, Cobra bucket seats, the list goes on, everything in this BMW M3 E30 is bespoke and tailor made to the car, including the keys, it’s a race car that can be driven to Tesco before hitting the track, nothing has been left behind and everything has been retouched, renewed and improved.
The BMW M3 S54 engine is worldwide renowned for its incredible note that starts at 500rpms all the way up to 8000rpm, this magnificent 6 cylinders orchestra is played through a fully custom exhaust in stainless steel by Infinity, which is truly remarkable and makes the whole experience of driving this BMW unique. To complement the 80s feeling of a BMW M3 E30, a boombox has been fitted behind the seats with a custom made bracket, this Boombox will give you all the vibes of the 80s with all the technologies of 2022, with bluetooth, AUX port and CD player.
Most people would expect the ride in a Trackday car to be unbearable, that’s not the case in this BMW M3, thanks to the fully adjustable Gaz coilovers, fitted on all 4 corners, this BMW M3 remains quite smooth and not unpleasant to drive around town while still giving you all the grip necessary to go around corners fast enough to shift your lungs from one side to the other.
It’s hard to stress how good this car is and how much of a drivers car it is, This BMW M3 puts you back behind the wheel in full control of the vehicle where you need to be a skilled driver in order to push it to its limit and hours and hours of practicing to be fully confident with it.
This BMW M3 E30 racing car is ready to be seen and driven away, since the engine rebuild it has covered only 600 miles and it’s now in storage until next April.
