Arriving with us in UK end August.
A US supplied car as per Heritage certificate - brought back to UK in 2012 after a long search with a view to doing a total nut & bolt better then new restoration. This car was sourced after a long search to find a rust free southern car as the starting point.
The car was restored over a two year period by M&T Classics in Wolverhampton (run by Mark Johnson the renowned TR concours expert)
A full Null nut and bolt restoration was undertaken at vast exepense, including a complete engine and gearbox rebuild.
The car is painted in flawless Gulf Racing (Worcester) Blue done to a very very high concours standard. It comes with the desirable surrey top in situ.
To the interior is full leather trim in dark blue with race seats taken from the Mazda MX5 for comfort along with matching blue carpets
A rear child bench seat is also fitted.
The car comes with its original overdrive unit making for relaxed high speed cruising.
The engine has an alternator and electronic 123 ignition for modern day reliability.
The US carbs were replaced with modern SU’s and US engine emission restrictions removed to provide full EU spec power performance.
The radio is the original but with modern digital internal conversion providing FM/MW/and link to iphone or and AUX via external wire plug
An electrical cut off low volt circuit ignition switch for security and battery cut-off is also installed.
A full restoration photograqphic history comes with the car. This restoration was undertaken with sympathetic modern upgrades to make a reliable comfortable TR5 type car which resided in the owners continental holiday home & thus has seen very sparing use on dry days only.
