1933 Rolls Royce Phantom 2 Tourer by Danse Karosserie Fabrik
Chassis Number: MW33
Registration Number: DT71449 (Danish)
The fist owner was Lionel De Rothschild of the eponymous banking dynasty who sent the car to Park Ward for a Continental Touring Saloon body. It was delivereed on the 14th July 1933.
This magnificent Phantom 2 now carries an original Copenhagen Danske Carosserie Farbik body that was moved across the chassis from a Silver Ghost. We have picture in the history file of the Silver Ghost wearing this body prior to it being moved across. This makes it to be a very rare Phantom 2 being both an open tourer with an original body & also a short continental chassis.
The car has been under long term Scandinavian ownership. During that time a full engine rebuild has been undertaken & as a result the car is running beautifully & is a pleasure to drive. It benefits from being located just down the street from official Rolls Royce & Bentley service agents Bernd Hansens who know the car intimately & help with its maintenance.
The body is black with the paint in lovely condition. To the interior is maroon leather in super condition & nicely faded by the sun to give an aged patina. Twin occasional seats fold out making this a true 7 seat conveyance. Up front we find Lucas P100 lamps, twin trumpet horns & a central spot lamp along with dual side mount spares to give a very imposing frontal aspect. Hood up the appearance of the car is slightly reminiscent of an american gangsters type car despite being on an English chassis. A large motoring trunk is fitted to the rear.
Viewings are by prior appointment in Copenhagen. It is European Taxes paid & we can deliver anywhere the client desires at cost.
