Mercedes Benz 380SL R107 OTS

Mercedes Benz 380SL

Year: 1985
Chassis no: 1070452A019315
Registration: B116BGT
Price: £34,000

1985 Mercedes Benz 380SL R107 in Byzantine Gold Metallic with matching hardtop, Dark brown mohair soft-top and Palomino leather upholstery. Only 50500 miles from new. This stunning 380SL has just one owner from new and is an exceptionally original example. Chassis number 019315 was supplied new by Geyfords Mercedes-Benz Garage London to The Manor House Banstead on January 3rd 1985. Befitting it's status as Mercedes Benz's flagship sports car at the time the 380SL’s impressive specification encompassed a limited slip differential, fire extinguisher, paintcoat preservation, heat absorbing glass, ABS brakes and leather seats. “B116BGT” has its mileage warranted at just 50500 miles from new.

The engine bay has been sprayed with protective wax which has helped preserve various factory stickers on the 3.8 litre V8, while more Mercedes Benz stickers are visible on the exhaust silencer and one of the front brake callipers etc. A “Geyfords Mercedes-Benz”sticker adorns the hardtop and rear window and the UNUSED spare wheel still wears it's original Michelin XWX tyre, also the first aid kit is still unused and is still in its plastic wrapper! Obviously, much loved the 380SL’s appearance and condition belie it's thirty five years.

It is amazing to think 2021 marks fifty years since the introduction of the R107 SL and there can be very few surviving UK supplied 380SL’s which are as original (as now registered B116BGT) This car comes with a V5, Mercedes Benz data card, Mercedes service history and history file, and tool kit. The car is unmarked inside & out & is literally like it left the showroom. It is one of the very best examples we’ve ever seen.

Turn the ignition key and the 3.8 litre V8 fires instantly and upon test drive the engine pulls through the rev range and acceleration is brisk with the four speed automatic gearchange being effortlessly smooth. A real pleasure to drive. If the seventies styling ticks your box and you want a classic that combines a stylish driving experience with the ability to deliver you to your destination unflustered then this beautiful SL is for you.

Absolutely any inspection is welcome. Viewing is highly recommended and we know you won't be disappointed.
