1951 Bentley Mark VI Coach built by Harold Radford.

Chassis number: B40MD

Registration number: LSU658

A very rare Benltey Mark VI coach built with a custom aluminium body by Harols Radford in 1951.  This car has been the recipient of a nut & bolt rebuild to as new by Classic Restoration Services of Scotland.  The restoration bills on the car total over £200,000 & as a result the car is simply flawless.

The car is finished in midnight blue over silver with the paint having been completed to a very very high standard after the aluminium body was stripped to bare metal.  To the interior is pale grey Connolly hide throughout piped in dark blue with dark blue wilton carpets.  All woodwork has been removed, re-veneered & refitted.

Being a Radford car it comes with all the usual Harold Radford features.  Picnic tables are fitted to the seat backs.  The boot is a clam shell hatchback affair.  A cocktail shaker & glasses is fitted to the rear seat arms from the fold down arm rests.  Inside the boot floor is a wash basin.  The rear seat back folds down allowing for massive luggage carrying capacity.  A drinks cabinet is fitted in hte side of the boot space etc etc.

On the road the car drives beautifully running at well above normal modern day traffic speeds when called upon to do so.  Under the bonnet the engine bay is pristine & to show standards.  After restoration the car won prizes at the Rolls Royce Enthusiasts National rally attesting to the level of care that went into it.  These coachbuilt Radford cars, not to be confused witht he more common standard steel radford cars,  are rare & uncommonly stylish.  With its flawless condition we have to believe this is the best one in the world.

Having previously sold this car when it came out of restoration it is a pleasure to have such a machine back in stock again.
