Rolls Royce Silver Spur 2

Year: 1987
Chassis no: CH21765
Registration: E677CRD
Price: £26,500.00

1987 Rolls Royce Silver Spur 2

Ordered new by one Mr Toorani; he kept the car for 29 years.  During this time the car had the most meticulous servicing of any Rolls I have come across with over 30 services being performed necessitationg a second service booklet to be employed.  The car had covered a scant 29,911 miles when we picked it up backed up by the voluminous service history accompanying the car.  Most of the work has been performed by main dealers with one or two specialists also lending their expertese.  We only photographed a portion of the history due to the sheer volume of invoices in the file.

The car is finished in Masons black named after the eponymous paint company as opposed to the fraternal order.  Having resided in a climate controlled garage its entire life the paintwork is as one might imagine in unblemished condition.  The story contines inside with the parchment hides being in like new condition as is the highly figured burr walnut.

Unusually the car was special ordered with a rear sunroof.  Burr walnut picnic tables are fitted to the seat backs for use by rear occupants.  A high quality Pioneer stereo system is also installed to the lower dash board.  This is an ABS Model & also has Electronic Fuel Injection.  The car has cocktail cabinets for both rear occupants along with factory supplied footrests.  The car cost over £90,000 when new & was supplied by Lex Mead.  A full hide headling was also specified when the car was ordered.

The car drives absolutely faultlessly with the cruise control operational & ice cold air conditioning.  Gear changes are smooth & seamless.  The engine is powerful, silent & kicks down readily when called upon to do so.  The suspension is supple & correct as one might expect from a car having benefitted from such a rigorous maintenance regime; Indeed to drive it is a pleasure.

Under the bonnet the car is highly detailed & absolutely corrosion free.  Rarely do we get a car in of this age in such fine condition.  You really have to come & see it to appreciate what a time warp it is.
